  Behold The Lamb Of God!
Christianity is Christ! It is not a normal religion as most other world religions are. In Christianity, the founder is the One that was sacrificed for the followers. Christ Jesus fulfilled the many prophecies recorded in the early parts of the Bible (Old Testament) which said that God would provide the sacrifice for sin. Adam and Eve tried to cover their sin by wearing fig leaf garments. Later on the Jewish people offered animal sacrifices at the Temple in Jerusalem. But the blood of bulls and goats could not do what the blood of The Lamb of God did! Hebrews 10:4-23. If you are reading this page and do not believe in Jesus Christ and trust Him for your salvation from sin, then I not only invite you to trust/believe/follow Him, I implore you. As John the Baptist said in John chapter 1, verse 29 - "Behold The Lamb Of God which taketh away the sin of the world"!

"If there were any Word of God beside the Scripture, we could never be certain of God's Word; and if we be uncertain of God's Word, the devil might bring in among us a new word, a new doctrine, a new faith, a new church, a new god, yea himself to be a god. If the Church and the Christian faith did not stay itself upon the Word of God certain, as upon a sure and true foundation, no man could know whether he were in the true Church of Christ, or in the synagogue of satan."  Archbishop Thomas Cranmer

True words penned by Archbishop Thomas Cranmer in the 1500's. How well they fit today. Thomas Cranmer was the man most responsible for the Book of Common Prayer for use in the Church of England.  He and several other Bible believing Anglicans, such as Latimer and Ridley, were condemned to death by the  Pope following/Virgin Mary worshipping/ R.C. Mary Tudor.  They were burned at the stake, as had been the fate of William Tyndale during her dad's reign. These men were guilty of trusting the Bible rather than the Pope, Mary, and bread.

The prayers and collects are beautiful and show a deep reverence and awe for God Almighty. The 39 Articles of Religion found in the B.C.P. warn against the practices of Rome and their hocus pocus of changing bread and wine into Our Lord's actual flesh and blood - ( Impossible, because Jesus Christ rose bodily from the grave and is seated at the Right Hand of The Father in heaven!) - and their re- sacrificing of Jesus each time they do one of their masses.  The Bible which Cranmer and all other Protestants get our doctine from plainly teaches us that Jesus is The Way- The Truth - The Life (John 14:6) , and that we only get to Heaven by Faith in Him!   This is another reason that the Bible is not heeded by people--- even those who claim some kind of religion.  It tells us how to worship The Lord (in spirit and truth)  and how not to offend Him with the "strange fire" of vile and pagan and human-made rituals. It also tells us to direct our prayers to the Creator - NOT one of his creatures !

Both the 1689  2nd London Baptist Confession of Faith and the Book of Common Prayer/39 Articles of Religion, hold to the 10 Commandments. Amen! We as Christians must heed the Moral Law. We are not under the civil and ceremonial laws found in Leviticus but it would behoove you to read them anyway. The Moral Law was given to Moses on the mountain by God Almighty! It is not the place of any human/group/school/publisher- and especially someone who claims to believe in Jesus Christ to arbitrarily disregard and ignore the very words of our God... written in stone.

A Collect from the order for Holy Communion: " Almighty God, unto whom all hearts are open, all desires known, and from whom no secrets are hid; Cleanse the thoughts of our hearts by the inspiration of thy Holy Spirit, that we may perfectly love thee, and worthily magnify thy holy Name; through Christ our Lord. Amen."

If you need a Bible that is uncorrupted by modern footnotes and asterisks and verses that have been placed in brackets, or even worse- whole verses/sections chopped from the page, then please visit The Trinitarian Bible Society.  They have good quality Bibles (Authorized Version) in several sizes, fonts, bindings and prices. www.trinitarianbiblesociety.org . Here is a tip for you: If your current Bible does not have Matthew chapter 6, verses 5-13 starting with "and when thou prayest... and ending with "for ever". Amen.";  If your Bible has Mark chapter 16 (1-20) missing about half of the verses, or in brackets, or questioned with asterisks and footnotes;  If your Bible does not have 1John 5:7-8 "For there are three... and ending in "in one", you need a God honoring, Christ exalting Protestant Bible.

If you want to get a Book of Common Prayer (new or used) make sure you order a 1662 edition from Cambridge University Press or a 1928 edition. Do not buy the modern 1979 American edition, unless you need to line a parakeet cage.

If you like some of the photos of stained glass windows and Churches then please put your cursor on these links and click your mouse thing. I love them because they tell me that people took time and talent and treausure to build a place to worship The Lord in. Ideally, we would have good solid Baptist/Biblical sermons in church buildings that also conveyed the sense of worship while in the sanctuary, while reading/responding to the Decalogue (10 Commandments) or singing hymns/psalms with the heavenly sounds of an organ... as we think upon the things of The Lord.

If you would like to hear some good lessons/sermons on a topic which is very important to Biblical Christianity then please click on the links below and listen. Both of the men have other sermons/lessons on the topic which go into much detail.  There are thousands of sermons on that website, and I would not agree with every sermon/lesson, but these two gents do a good job of pointing out dangers and false teachings that are very prevalent.  http://www.sermonaudio.com/sermoninfo.asp?SID=6973  and http://www.sermonaudio.com/sermoninfo.asp?SID=11203113951

Thank you for visiting this site. Be sure and click on the many links posted on the Links page and read the available material. Thomas Cranmer, J.C. Ryle, John Bunyan, John Gill, Adam Clarke, Charles Spurgeon, the hymns of the Wesley brothers, those folks studied and read and prayed and took Christianity seriously. We need to also.  If you like what you see please tell other folks.
